The European Mission Soil Week 2024 has just concluded, an event organized by the European Commission and other entities, dedicated to promoting soil health and advancing the Mission Soil: “A Soil Deal for Europe,” in which we enthusiastically participated.
During the event, more than 50 projects were presented, contributing to soil-related research and innovation, while the first 25 Living Labs of the Mission Soil were launched. Collaboration with the European Soil Observatory (EUSO) also enabled the development of harmonized soil monitoring across the European Union.
The European Mission Soil Week brought together a growing community of “soil guardians” and provided a platform for debates and reflections on the crucial question: “What does soil mean to you, and how can you contribute to its health?” Participation in this event offered significant insights for new collaborations and strengthened our shared commitment to soil protection and regeneration.
We are proud to be part of this mission and to actively contribute to building a sustainable future for soils in Europe and worldwide. We fully support the values and goals of the Mission Soil and invite you to consult the Manifesto, which emphasizes the importance of protecting and regenerating soil for the well-being of our society and future sustainability.
